I am playing it through a Yamaha AX-500 amp with a couple of Bose speakers. Maybe there was a loose connection somewhere in the cartridge and turning the switch may have put it right somehow. I have since played about 20 records and both channels are still working. Anyway, I changed the switch to the M setting (for manual) and suddenly I had beautiful amazing sound from BOTH speakers! I have since put it back on the A setting (for automatic) where it was originally, and both channels are still working. I checked the manual and discovered that this had something to do with stacking up records on the larger spindle. I suddenly thought that maybe there was a problem with the cartridge and on closer examination found a switch with A and M settings. When I got home I actually found that the right channel still wasn't working properly. He did a great job and all up it took him just over 2 hours. My electrician checked out the wiring and formalized it with stereo and power sockets on the back. I want to thank you guys for the advice you gave me.
